Direct Debit Request Service Agreement
Last updated: 22 June 2026
This agreement explains your rights and our obligations when you set up a direct debit (BECS) to pay True North Innovations. Please read it before you authorise a direct debit.
1. Who this is between
This Direct Debit Request (DDR) Service Agreement is between you (the account holder) and True North Innovations Pty Ltd (ABN 34 677 383 149)(“we”, “us”, “our”). It works together with our Terms & Conditions and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
2. How we debit your account
We use our payment provider, Stripe(Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd), to debit your nominated Australian bank account through the Bulk Electronic Clearing System (BECS), using Stripe’s BECS User ID shown to you when you set up the debit. By setting up a direct debit you authorise us, through Stripe, to debit your account for the amounts and at the times you have agreed.
- For subscription plans, we debit the agreed monthly amount once each month, on (or about) the same day as your sign-up date.
- You authorise the direct debit once; future payments are then debited automatically under that authorisation.
- BECS is a delayed payment method — a debit can take a few business days to clear.
3. Your responsibilities
- Make sure the account details you give us are correct and that the account can accept direct debits.
- Make sure there are enough cleared funds in the account on the debit day.
- Tell us if the nominated account is transferred or closed, or its details change.
4. Changes, deferrals and cancellation
You can ask us to change, pause or cancel your direct debit at any time by contacting us using the details below (please give us reasonable notice — at least 3 business days before the next debit). You can also cancel or stop a direct debit directly through your own bank. Cancelling a direct debit does not, by itself, cancel any fees you already owe or end a minimum-term commitment — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Disputes
If you believe a debit was wrong or unauthorised, please contact us first and we will respond promptly. You can also raise the matter with your bank. Where a debit is found to be incorrect, we will arrange for it to be refunded.
6. Dishonoured or failed payments
If a debit is returned or dishonoured by your bank, we may try again, ask you to pay another way, and pass on any fee our bank or Stripe charges us for the failed debit. We may pause your service until payment is made.
7. Your privacy
We keep your account details confidential and handle your information in line with our Privacy Policy. Your bank account details are collected and held securely by Stripe; we do not store your full account number on our own systems.
